Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor as well as a supermodel. She is known for her beautiful beauty and her longevity in the highly demanding film industry shows her skills and talent as an actor. Modeling began in the 70s. In the next few years, she was one of the most sought-after models. From the 80s onwards, she attended acting classes, and was a theater student before performing on the theater stage of Los Angeles. Rose Namajunas ranks among the most prestigious UFC female athletes. She was an amateur fightr who participated in regional competitions prior to signing with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined the Ultimate Fighting Championships. The success she has achieved both inside and outside from the Octagon have helped make her a household brand since she joined the UFC. Namajunas's family is Lithuanian as was her birthplace there on the 29th June, 1992. Rose played basketball and kickboxing throughout her childhood. When she was 18 years old, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships at which she took two wins by submission. Dana White took notice of this, and she was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in December 2014 when Rose was only 22. The career of Rose has been full of highs as well as lows but she's always able to come out of it with a win. In April, 2015 Rose took on Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale in which she was victorious by technical knockout less than 3 seconds into the first round One - becoming not only winner of the title, but getting the honor of being named Fighter Of The Night along making history in MMA as this fight marked only the first time that women was a champion with a major promoter across the globe . Namajunas won several fights following this fight and was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC after her wins over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
